Measuring up for exterior fretwork panels is very easy. You may take the measurements yourself or if preferred have your builder, carpenter or handyman measure up.
Measure the distance between your posts i.e. the distance from the inside of one post to the inside of the next. This will need to be accurate as the panels will be made to these measurements.
In some cases there may not be post e.g. where you want to install fretwork from a post to the house wall. In this case you will need to install a dropper or end bracket in order to fix the fretwork safely.
Each fretwork panel is made a few millimetres longer at each end. This is just in case the measurements are a little out or the posts are not square (better a bit more than a bit less!). Once on site the panels are then trimmed to size and installed.
