Old Favorite Raised to New Heights

This story is one example of how a simple castor cup can provide renewed comfort to a loved antique setting. Having been made at a time in history when people were smaller in stature, this old furniture setting was now too low for its owners to sit with comfort. The solution? 

To elevate the setting with wooden castor cups. The original antique metal castors were removed from the legs and each piece of furniture placed in the cups. The internal diameter of the cups was made wide enough to ensure stability. This was done without any alteration to the chairs themselves. So once the antique castors are returned, the setting will be back to its original condition, preserving its value. A successful small project to the customers design; functionality restored, value preserved and a seamless fit with the aesthetics of the furniture.
